Job summary

Albertsons Companies Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to help ensure an accurate and efficient experience for patients while working under the supervision of a pharmacist.

You will assist with processing prescriptions, entering data, and preparing medications within regulatory guidelines. You’ll handle customer interactions, maintain records, restock supplies, and keep the workspace clean, all while following HIPAA requirements and federal/state pharmacy laws.

Qualifications

• Must be 16+ or 18+ depending on location
• Current Board of Pharmacy registration or licensure where applicable
• Ability to operate computers, registers, and pharmacy systems
• Successful completion of required pharmacy training programs and technician development requirements
• Working knowledge of pharmacy procedures, prescription processing, and HIPAA guidelines
• Proficiency in computer systems and basic math calculations
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow written and verbal instructions
• Availability to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays preferred

Responsibilities

• Process prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
• Enter data and prepare medications under pharmacist supervision.
• Handle customer interactions and answer questions.
• Direct clinical questions to the pharmacist when needed.
• Maintain organization: records, restock supplies, and clean workspace.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and state/federal laws.
• Support daily pharmacy operations and workflows.
