Job summary

Covenant HealthCare is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in the preparation, dispensing, and delivery of medications in a hospital setting. The role requires current Michigan licensure and national certification, with preferred experience in sterile compounding and hospital operations.

Qualifications

• Must hold Current Pharmacy Technician Certification from a nationally recognized organization.
• Must hold Michigan Pharmacy Technician Licensure.
• Hospital pharmacy technician experience including sterile compounding is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in preparation, dispensing, and delivery of medications.
• Maintain stock levels of pharmaceuticals and supplies.
• Filling unit dose carts and delivering meds to patient care units.
• Answer phone calls and assist staff while directing complex queries to pharmacists.
• Perform quality checks, refrigerator/freezer temperature monitoring, and inventory duties.
• Comply with USP 797 and 800 standards as applicable to operations.
