The position requires a certified Pharmacy Technician with strong communication skills and the ability to work with diverse patient populations. English/Spanish bilingual skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be a certified Pharmacy Technician.
• Preferred: English/Spanish bilingual.
• One to three years of experience in pharmacy and customer service/healthcare preferred.
• Current/valid License: Passed National Certification Exam preferred, registered with NC Board of Pharmacy.
• Immunizations: up-to-date and medically cleared prior to employment.
• Pay Range: $17.85 - $23.99 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes pharmacy knowledge to ensure appropriate decisions in conjunction with pharmacist.
• Assesses individual patient questions and refers to pharmacist appropriately.
• Provide services to all age groups.
• Discuss areas of medication usage with pharmacist.
• Discuss third party payer information with patients.
• Provide drug information to medical staff using appropriate references.
• Understand and follow PHS policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate knowledge of pharmacy law.
• Provide timely patient services with compassion.
• Work with Pharmacy Manager and center staff to support operations.
• Assist with revenue, expense tracking, and overall pharmacy performance.
