Job summary

The Kaiser Permanente Pharmacy Technician in Seattle supports the daily workflow of the pharmacy, ensuring timely and accurate dispensing of medications in compliance with state and federal laws and Kaiser Permanente policies.

You will process prescriptions, count and pour medications, handle patient questions with excellent service, perform inventory tasks, and assist pharmacists with safety checks and documentation.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved pharmacy technician training program, or equivalent, to obtain Department of Health Pharmacy Technician Certification is required by date of hire/transfer.
• Pharmacy technician certification (Washington) required at hire.
• Knowledge of pharmacy laws and standards of practice.

Responsibilities

• Process prescriptions and enter data into the computer; count and pour medications; prepackage and label.
• Stock shelves and assist with inventory functions; file prescriptions; handle non-professional calls for refills.
• Triaging calls to the appropriate staff; ensure accurate dispensing and safety checks.
