Qualifications

• Completion of an approved pharmacy technician training program, or equivalent.
• Washington Pharmacy Technician Certification required at hire.
• IV experience preferred; two years of IV experience or warehouse experience are listed as preferred qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Typing new prescriptions and processing refill prescriptions; entering prescription data into the computer; counting and pouring medications; labeling medications; stocking shelves and filing prescriptions.
• Ensuring timely distribution of drug therapy with correct medications and dosages; accurate calculations based on patient weight.
• Maintaining patient safety and excellent customer service; following Kaiser Permanente policies and reporting any unusual occurrences.
