Job summary

Albertsons Companies Inc. is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to ensure accurate prescription processing, data entry and medication preparation under pharmacist supervision. You will engage with patients, answer questions, and handle transactions while adhering to regulatory guidelines.

You will also maintain records, restock supplies, and keep the workspace organized and compliant with federal and state requirements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years or older (or 18+ depending on location requirements).
• Current Board of Pharmacy registration or licensure where applicable.
• Ability to operate computers, registers and pharmacy systems.
• Completed required pharmacy training programs and technician development requirements.
• Knowledge of pharmacy procedures, prescription processing and HIPAA guidelines.
• Proficient in basic math and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Process prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Enter data correctly and prepare medications for dispensing.
• Assist customers with questions, transactions and directing questions to the pharmacist.
• Maintain organization, restock supplies and ensure clean workspaces in compliance with regulations.
