Responsibilities

1. Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in practicing pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations, company policies, and procedures.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and assist with pharmacy operations, including coaching other technicians if PTCB certified.
3. Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience by engaging customers, resolving issues, and building strong relationships.

Customer Experience

• Greet customers and patients, offer assistance, and ensure a positive experience.
• Share customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy practice, including entering patient and drug info, filling prescriptions, verifying medications, and managing workflow under supervision.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to policies regarding dispensing and quality improvement.
• Handle sales transactions, assist customers in locating products, and process third-party claims efficiently.
• Support inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals, and handle related claims for overages, shortages, or damages.
• Assist in administering clinical services as required and support coordination with healthcare providers.
• Maintain a clean and orderly pharmacy environment, stock supplies, and uphold company policies and respectful relationships.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through our training program and/or state certification. Certification may be required for promotion.
• Attend training sessions and acquire continuing education credits to stay current in healthcare and pharmacy developments.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
