Responsibilities

1. Assist the pharmacist, under supervision, in practicing pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations, company policies, and procedures.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and, if certified, assist and coach other pharmacy technicians and cashiers.
3. Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engage customers and patients by greeting them, offering assistance, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Share customer service best practices with team members to deliver excellent service, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy practice under pharmacist supervision, ensuring compliance with policies and pharmacy code of conduct.
• Perform duties such as entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying accuracy, and assisting in workflow management.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to error and quality improvement policies.
• Handle sales registration, cash handling, and assist customers in locating products.
• Process third-party prescription claims and support inventory management activities.
• Support clinical services, including sample collection and coordination with healthcare providers.
• Maintain good relationships with the medical community and support outreach efforts.
• Ensure the pharmacy environment is stocked, clean, and orderly.
• Follow all company policies, maintain respectful relationships, and complete assigned tasks.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through our training program or state requirements, and achieve certification for promotion as needed.
• Attend training sessions and acquire continuing education credits to stay updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
