Responsibilities include:

1. In accordance with state and federal regulations, assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy. Support other Pharmacy Department duties in line with Company policies and procedures.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and assist with pharmacy operations. If PTCB certified, help train and coach other pharmacy technicians and cashiers.
3. Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience through engagement and service.

Customer Experience

• Engage customers and patients by greeting them, offering assistance, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Share customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy practices under pharmacist supervision, following all policies and regulations.
• Perform duties such as entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and supporting workflow management.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to policies regarding dispensing and quality improvement.
• Handle sales transactions, assist customers in locating products, and process third-party claims efficiently.
• Support inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals, and file claims for discrepancies or damages.
• Assist in clinical services, including sample collection and coordination with healthcare providers.
• Build and maintain relationships with the medical community and support outreach efforts.
• Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the pharmacy environment.
• Follow all company policies and complete assigned tasks.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through our training program and/or meet state certification requirements. Certification is a condition for promotion to senior technician.
• Attend training sessions, acquire continuing education credits, and stay updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
