Responsibilities include:

1. Assisting the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations, and performing other pharmacy duties per company policies.
2. Using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and, if PTCB certified, assisting and coaching other pharmacy technicians and cashiers.
3. Modeling and delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engaging customers and patients, greeting them, and offering assistance with products and services.
• Resolving customer issues and answering questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Sharing customer service best practices with team members to deliver exceptional service.
• Developing strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assisting in pharmacy practice under pharmacist supervision, complying with all policies and procedures.
• Performing duties such as entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and checking for interactions.
• Reporting prescription errors immediately and adhering to error and quality policies.
• Handling sales transactions, assisting customers in locating products, and processing third-party claims.
• Supporting inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals.
• Supporting clinical services and coordinating with healthcare providers as needed.
• Maintaining a clean and organized pharmacy environment and fostering good relationships with coworkers.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the training program and/or state certification, with certification required for promotion to senior technician.
• Attend training sessions, acquire continuing education credits, and stay updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

Additional requirements include fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico) and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
