Responsibilities

1. Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations, and perform other Pharmacy Department duties per company policies.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and, if PTCB certified, assist and coach other pharmacy technicians and cashiers.
3. Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engage customers and patients, greet them, offer assistance, resolve issues, and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Share customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy practice under pharmacist supervision, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
• Perform duties such as entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and assisting in workflow management.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to quality and dispensing policies.
• Handle sales transactions, assist customers in locating products, and process third-party claims efficiently.
• Support inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals, and file claims for discrepancies.
• Assist in clinical services and coordinate with healthcare providers as needed.
• Maintain the pharmacy environment, ensure supplies are stocked, and uphold company policies and respectful relationships.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through our training program and/or state certification requirements.
• Attend training sessions, acquire continuing education credits, and stay updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
