Job Description

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations and company policies.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. If PTCB certified, assist and coach other pharmacy technicians and cashiers.
• Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience by engaging customers, resolving issues, and answering questions.

Customer Experience

• Greet and assist customers, developing strong relationships with valuable customers.
• Share customer service best practices with team members to ensure a positive experience.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy operations, including entering patient and drug info, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and managing workflow.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to quality policies.
• Handle cash register operations, process third-party claims, and support inventory management.
• Support clinical services and maintain good relationships with healthcare providers.
• Maintain a clean and orderly pharmacy environment.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through our training program and/or state registration.
• Attend training sessions and pursue continuing education to stay updated in healthcare and pharmacy practices.

Qualifications

External Basic Qualifications

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

• Six months of retail experience preferred.
• Prior experience with Walgreens is a plus.
• Good math, computer skills, and knowledge of inventory control are preferred.
• PTCB certification is preferred.
