Responsibilities

1. Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations. Support other Pharmacy Department duties per company policies.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and assist with pharmacy operations, including coaching other technicians if PTCB certified.
3. Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience through engagement, resolving issues, and building relationships.

Customer Experience

• Greet customers and patients, offering assistance and resolving issues to ensure a positive experience.
• Share customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy practice, including entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and checking interactions.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to quality and safety policies.
• Handle sales transactions, including cash handling and assisting customers in locating products.
• Process third-party claims and support inventory management activities.
• Support clinical services and coordinate with healthcare providers as needed.
• Maintain a clean, stocked, and orderly pharmacy environment.
• Follow all company policies and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
• Complete assigned tasks and special projects as required.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated training program or state certification, with promotion contingent upon certification.
• Attend training and acquire continuing education credits to stay current in healthcare and pharmacy developments.

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
