Responsibilities

1. Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and, if PTCB certified, assist and coach other pharmacy technicians and cashiers in pharmacy systems and cash register operations.
3. Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolve issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Share customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits, to deliver a distinctive customer experience.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy practice under pharmacist supervision, ensuring compliance with all policies and regulations.
• Perform duties such as entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and assisting in workflow management.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to policies regarding dispensing activities.
• Handle sales transactions, assist customers in locating products, and process third-party claims efficiently.
• Support inventory management activities, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals.
• Assist in clinical services, including sample collection and coordination with healthcare providers.
• Maintain good relationships with the medical community and support department upkeep.
• Complete special assignments and tasks as needed.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through our training program and/or state certification requirements.
• Attend training sessions and acquire continuing education credits to stay updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
