Responsibilities

1. Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations. Support other Pharmacy Department duties per company policies.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and assist with pharmacy operations. If PTCB certified, help train and mentor other pharmacy technicians and cashiers.
3. Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience by engaging customers, resolving issues, and answering questions.

Customer Experience

• Greet and assist customers and patients, ensuring a positive experience. Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy practices under supervision, including entering patient and drug data, filling prescriptions, verifying medication accuracy, and checking for interactions.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to quality and dispensing policies.
• Handle cash register transactions, assist customers in locating products, and process third-party claims efficiently.
• Support inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals, and manage related claims for overages, shortages, or damages.
• Assist in clinical services, such as collecting samples and coordinating with healthcare providers.
• Build relationships with the medical community through outreach and detailing.
• Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the pharmacy environment.
• Follow all company policies, complete special assignments, and support team relationships.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through our training program and/or state certifications. Certification may be a condition for promotion.
• Attend training sessions, complete continuing education, and stay updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English is required (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, is necessary.
