Responsibilities include:

1. Assisting the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy, in accordance with state and federal regulations, and performing other pharmacy duties per company policies.
2. Using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and, if PTCB certified, assisting and coaching other pharmacy technicians and cashiers.
3. Delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engaging customers and patients, greeting them, offering assistance, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Sharing customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Developing strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assisting in pharmacy practice under supervision, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
• Performing duties such as entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and assisting with workflow.
• Reporting prescription errors immediately and adhering to error and quality improvement policies.
• Handling sales transactions, managing inventory, supporting clinical services, and maintaining the pharmacy environment.

Training & Personal Development

• Maintaining PTCB certification through designated training or state certification, with promotion requirements as applicable.
• Attending training, acquiring continuing education credits, and staying updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

Additional requirements include fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico) and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
