Responsibilities include:

1. In accordance with state and federal regulations, assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy. Assist in other Pharmacy Department duties per company policies.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and assist with pharmacy operations, including coaching other technicians if PTCB certified.
3. Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engage customers and patients, greet them, and assist with products and services. Resolve issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Share customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy practice under supervision, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
• Perform duties such as entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medications, and assisting with workflow scheduling.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to policies regarding dispensing and quality improvement.
• Handle sales transactions, assist customers in locating products, and process third-party claims efficiently.
• Support inventory management, including ordering and checking shipments, and maintain pharmacy appearance and supplies.
• Assist in clinical services, including sample collection and coordination with healthcare providers.
• Develop relationships with the medical community through outreach and detailing.
• Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment and comply with all policies.
• Complete special assignments as needed.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated program and/or state certification. Certification may be required for promotion.
• Attend training and acquire continuing education credits to stay current with industry developments.

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
