Responsibilities

1. Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and assist with training and coaching pharmacy technicians and cashiers in pharmacy system operation.
3. Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engage customers and patients by greeting them, offering assistance, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Share customer service best practices and develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy duties such as entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and checking for interactions.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to policies regarding pharmacy errors and quality improvement.
• Handle sales transactions, assist customers in locating products, and process third-party claims efficiently.
• Support inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals, and file claims for overages, shortages, or damages.
• Assist in clinical services, including sample collection and coordination with healthcare providers.
• Develop relationships with the local medical community through outreach and detailing.
• Maintain a clean, stocked, and orderly pharmacy environment.
• Comply with all policies and complete assigned tasks.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated training program and/or state registration; certification may be required for promotion.
• Attend training, acquire continuing education credits, and stay updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

Additional requirements include fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico) and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
