Responsibilities include:
  1. In accordance with state and federal regulations, assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy. Assist in other Pharmacy Department duties per company policies.
  2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and, if PTCB certified, assist and coach other pharmacy technicians and cashiers.
  3. Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
Customer Experience
  • Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance. Resolve issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
  • Share customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
  • Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.
Operations
  • Assist in pharmacy practice under pharmacist supervision, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Perform duties such as entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and checking for interactions.
  • Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to error policies.
  • Follow Good Faith Dispensing policies during prescription activities.
  • Handle sales, including cash register operations and assisting customers in locating products.
  • Manage telephone inquiries, process third-party claims, and support inventory management.
  • Support clinical services, including sample collection and coordination with healthcare providers.
  • Maintain relationships with the medical community through outreach and detailing.
  • Ensure the pharmacy is well-stocked, clean, and orderly.
  • Comply with all policies, maintain respectful relationships, and complete assigned tasks.
Training & Personal Development
  • Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the training program and/or state registration. Certification may be required for promotion.
  • Attend training, acquire continuing education credits, and stay updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

Additional requirements include fluency in English and a willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
