Responsibilities include:

1. In accordance with state and federal regulations, assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy. Assist in other Pharmacy Department duties per company policies.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. If PTCB certified, assist and coach other pharmacy technicians and cashiers in pharmacy system and register operation.
3. Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance. Resolve issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Share customer service best practices to deliver a distinctive experience, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy practice under pharmacist supervision, adhering to policies and regulations.
• Perform duties such as entering patient and drug info, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and checking for interactions. Support workflow and report errors promptly.
• Handle sales transactions, assist with inventory management, and support clinical services as needed.
• Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized pharmacy environment. Comply with all policies and maintain respectful coworker relationships.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through our training program and/or state requirements. Certification is a condition for promotion to senior technician.
• Attend training and acquire continuing education credits to stay updated in healthcare and pharmacy developments.

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
