Responsibilities include:

1. Assisting the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations, and assisting in other Pharmacy Department duties per company policies.
2. Using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and, if PTCB certified, coaching other pharmacy technicians and cashiers in pharmacy system operation.
3. Delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience by engaging customers and resolving issues.

Customer Experience

• Greeting customers and offering assistance, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Sharing customer service best practices to deliver exceptional service, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Building strong relationships with valued customers.

Operations

• Assisting in pharmacy practice under supervision, including entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and checking for interactions.
• Reporting prescription errors immediately and adhering to policies related to pharmacy errors and quality improvement.
• Handling sales registration, cash handling, and assisting customers in locating products.
• Processing third-party prescription claims and supporting inventory management activities.
• Supporting clinical services, including sample collection and coordination with healthcare providers.
• Maintaining a clean and orderly pharmacy environment and supporting exterior and interior maintenance.

Training & Personal Development

• Maintaining PTCB certification through the designated training program and/or state certification, with promotion requirements as specified.
• Attending training, acquiring continuing education credits, and staying updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

Additional requirements include fluency in English (excluding Puerto Rico) and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
