Job summary

Regency Hospital in Springdale is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to manage daily pharmacy operations under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. This per diem role requires completing diverse pharmacy tasks, accurate medication handling, and adherence to formulary procedures, with responsibility assigned to the pharmacy team.

Qualified candidates must have a Pharmacy Technician license and a high school diploma or GED, plus certification.

Must have a Pharmacy Technician license.
High school diploma or GED required.
Current Pharmacy Technician Certification required.

Responsibilities

Complete a variety of pharmacy tasks and services within established policies and guidelines.
Work under the direction of a licensed pharmacist and be able to work independently.
Pick up drug orders at nursing stations and prepare medications under the supervision of the pharmacist on shift.
Deliver the appropriate quantities of medications to the correct patient areas.
Assist with accurate billing and crediting of patient medications.
Maintain drugs in the pharmacy in accordance with the Drug Formulary, including ordering, receiving, storing and completing necessary paperwork.
Monitor doses administered according to the Medication Administration Record on the narcotics sign-out record.
Maintain all forms and reports for control of narcotics and other controlled substances.
