Job summary

Regency Hospital in Springdale is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to manage daily pharmacy operations under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. This per diem role requires completing diverse pharmacy tasks, accurate medication handling, and adherence to formulary procedures, with responsibility assigned to the pharmacy team.

Qualified candidates must have a Pharmacy Technician license and a high school diploma or GED, plus certification.

Qualifications

  • Must have a Pharmacy Technician license.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Current Pharmacy Technician Certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Complete a variety of pharmacy tasks and services within established policies and guidelines.
  • Work under the direction of a licensed pharmacist and be able to work independently.
  • Pick up drug orders at nursing stations and prepare medications under the supervision of the pharmacist on shift.
  • Deliver the appropriate quantities of medications to the correct patient areas.
  • Assist with accurate billing and crediting of patient medications.
  • Maintain drugs in the pharmacy in accordance with the Drug Formulary, including ordering, receiving, storing and completing necessary paperwork.
  • Monitor doses administered according to the Medication Administration Record on the narcotics sign-out record.
  • Maintain all forms and reports for control of narcotics and other controlled substances.

Responsibilities
