Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Pharmacy experience preferred.
• Registered Pharmacy technician in the State of practice required.
• Registered Pharmacy technician trainee accepted with the expectation of completion within two years.
• Certified pharmacy technician preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs non-judgmental technical duties under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
• Prepares drug orders per physician request and verifies patient medication records.
• Maintains accurate patient drug records and handles prescription processing and dispensing.
• Issues controlled substances to patient care areas and maintains required records.
• Maintains competency and licensure, attends staff meetings, and completes competency assessments.
• Serves as technician in specialty areas and provides ambulatory care and retail support as assigned.
