Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital Richmond in Richmond, VA is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for per diem shifts. You will assist with daily pharmacy tasks under supervision of a licensed pharmacist, perform routine duties independently, and ensure accurate medication delivery to patient care areas.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED; State requirements for Pharmacy Technician Certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Preferred Pharmacy Technician Certification unless required by the State.

Responsibilities

• Support daily pharmacy operations under supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Independently perform routine tasks while following policy and guidelines.
• Pick up drug orders at nursing stations and prepare medications.
• Deliver medications to the correct patient areas.
• Assist with billing and crediting patient medications.
• Maintain formulary compliance: order, receive, store and document paperwork.
• Monitor narcotics administration records and maintain related documents.
