Job description

Job Overview:

The Pharmacy Technician assists in the provision of pharmaceutical services under the direct supervision of the Registered Pharmacist by performing the technical, clerical, and manipulative tasks involved in dispensing, preparing, and distributing medications and pharmaceutical products for all patient age groups. They also maintain statistical records.

Qualifications:

Required:

• New Jersey registered
• One year of previous pharmacy experience in a hospital setting is preferred, and/or completion of a pharmacy technician training course

Preferred:

• PTCB certification preferred

Scheduling Requirements:

• Per Diem, Days
• Rotating day and holiday/weekend coverage

Essential Functions:

• Identify and report hazardous environments, safety issues, and medical errors to appropriate personnel
• Perform any other assigned tasks as appropriate
