Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must maintain proper state licensing or certifications.
• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze and understand English.
• Ability to perform mathematical functions for prescriptions.
• Ability to stand/walk for scheduled shift.
• Finger/hand dexterity to fill prescriptions.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs regularly, 50 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and handle dust/chemicals.
• Interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Work cooperatively with others and follow schedules.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Accurately collect payment and give proper change.
• Input patient information for processing prescriptions.
• Assist the Pharmacist in processing and labeling prescriptions.
• Organize and stock pharmaceuticals as directed.
• Help customers locate OTC items.
• Maintain security of the Pharmacy Department.
• Interact with physicians and resolve issues using reference materials.
• Keep a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Sanitize work surfaces and equipment per QA standards.
• Comply with drug laws, HIPAA, and FDA regulations.
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality with patients' health information.
• Regularly lift/move 25 lbs, up to 50 lbs, and stand for shifts.
• Check prices and be knowledgeable about item locations.
• Support current charitable promotions to customers.
• Follow shrink guidelines and safety requirements.
