Job summary

ShopRite of Somers Point in Somers Point, NJ is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the Pharmacist in dispensing medications and providing exemplary customer care. The role focuses on accurate processing, patient data input, and maintaining a safe, organized pharmacy area.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, helping locate items, processing prescriptions, labeling, and ensuring compliance with drug laws and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must maintain proper state licensing or certifications.
• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language.
• Ability to perform mathematical functions, including decimals.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a shift.
• Dexterity to fill prescriptions and handle medications.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Greet Customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Process prescriptions with pharmacist assistance and accurate labeling.
• Input patient information for processing prescriptions.
• Organize and stock pharmaceuticals as directed by Pharmacist.
• Maintain security and cleanliness of the Pharmacy Department.
• Assist customers with over-the-counter products and directions.
