Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of Optum, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the mental health and specialty pharmacy in Providence, RI. Under a pharmacist's supervision, you will dispense prescriptions and handle clerical duties while ensuring compliance with federal and state requirements.

Responsibilities include customer service, stocking, order processing, data entry, and collaboration with the pharmacist to maintain inventory and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Active and non-restricted Rhode Island Pharmacy Technician License required.
• Access to reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional customer service to all consumers and clinic staff
• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist
• Orders, receives, and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
• Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
• Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
• Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
• Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
• Other duties as assigned
