Genoa Healthcare in Providence, RI is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the Genoa mental health and specialty pharmacy. The role involves dispensing prescriptions and clerical duties under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, with a Monday–Friday 8:30am–5:00pm EST schedule at 530 N Main St, Providence, RI 02904.

You will join a team dedicated to improving care for behavioral health patients, ensuring accurate medication handling and compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Active Rhode Island Pharmacy Technician License (unrestricted).
• Access to reliable transportation.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (preferred).
• Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience (preferred).
• Bilingual in Spanish and English (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional customer service to all consumers and clinic staff.
• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the pharmacist.
• Orders, receives, and stores incoming pharmacy supplies.
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders.
• Verifies medication stock and enters data to maintain inventory records.
• Works with the Pharmacist to assist in pharmacy functions and ensure compliance with federal/state requirements.
• Performs clerical duties related to the department.
• Communicates effectively verbally and in writing.
• Other duties as assigned.
