Job summary

HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital is seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our patient‑focused pharmacy team. You will prepare and dispense medications in accordance with procedures, document records, and support pharmacists to ensure safe, efficient care.

Responsibilities include counting, packaging, labeling unit doses, IV mixtures, inventory, quality control, and clerical duties. We value accuracy, strong communication, and a commitment to patient safety in a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as Pharmacy Technician preferred.
• Current FL Registered Pharmacy Tech; or Florida licensed pharmacy intern.
• Pharmacy Tech Certification (CphT) preferred.
• Pharmacy knowledge includes medical terminology and prescriptions drug names.
• Excellent customer service, interpersonal communication, organizational skills, PC skills, analytical skills, and clerical skills.

Responsibilities

• Count, package, and label unit doses for inspection by pharmacist.
• Assist pharmacists as directed, including filling orders and preparing labels.
• Perform quality control and auditing functions to ensure meds are available to caregivers.
• Prepare IV mixtures and operate automated systems.
• Maintain pharmacy inventory and perform clerical duties.
• Contribute to hospital improvement and service excellence goals.
• Follow guidelines for reporting significant medical errors or unanticipated outcomes.
