Qualifications

• Requires High school diploma or GED.
• Basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
• Effective computer and keyboarding skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
• Strong prioritization skills and ability to make decisions independently.
• Ability to operate equipment such as computers, scan guns, tablet counters, and cash registers.
• Ability to handle stress in demanding situations.
• Flexibility with scheduling for all operational hours.
• Valid Florida Pharmacy Technician license required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy.
• Enter patient and drug information in pharmacy systems and ensure accuracy.
• Fill prescriptions by counting and pouring pharmaceuticals; verify medicine.
• Report prescription errors to the pharmacist and follow CQI procedures.
• Register all related sales on the cash register and handle cash as required.
• Answer calls to physicians; support inventory management and stocking.
• Keep the Pharmacy Department clean, stocked, and orderly.
• Deliver a positive customer experience and resolve patient inquiries.
• Complete continuing education credits as mandated by the Florida Board of Pharmacy.
