Job summary

Kroger is seeking a pharmacy clerk to provide exceptional customer service while supporting pharmacists. You will handle reception, data entry, medication dispensing, and health and wellness services within state and federal laws, ensuring accurate pricing and safe handling of products.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, being 18+, handling confidential information, following regulations, and cooperating in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Meets minimum state requirements to perform the functions related to the position.

Responsibilities

• Comply with local, state and federal regulations; report all illegal activity, including robbery, theft or fraud
• Provide direct patient intervention by health and wellness services and experiences relevant to the patient as allowable by state and federal laws
• Assist pharmacist in all responsibilities except those that require a pharmacist’s professional judgement
• Provide a stellar customer experience while accurately and efficiently completing all steps of reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing
• Understand and adhere to HIPAA regulations and the company’s policies regarding the same
• Put away legend orders, including Central Fill deliveries
• Ability to work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environment
• Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner
• Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults
• Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
