Job summary

Quality Food Center is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists, assist with reception, data entry, and dispensing steps, and provide excellent customer service in a health-focused environment.

The role requires maintaining confidentiality, completing required licensure, and adhering to HIPAA regulations, safety standards, and state regulations. Opportunities exist to mentor clerks/technicians and contribute to health and wellness services.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Completion of national registration, certification or licensure as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in all responsibilities except those that require a pharmacist's professional judgement.
• Provide a stellar customer experience while accurately and efficiently completing all steps of reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing.
• Support the continued coaching and training of clerks and/or technicians.
• Compound medications according to state and other regulations.
• Perform post fill audits to verify prescription information matches computer records.
• Support non-dispensing services through use of various platforms and applications.
• Complete CLIA-waived screenings consistent with state and federal law and company policies.
• Comply with sanitation and safety regulations and identify unsafe conditions; notify store management.
