Job summary

The Kroger Co. in Owensboro, KY is seeking a Pharmacy Clerk to deliver outstanding customer service while assisting pharmacists with dispensing medications and handling cash transactions. You will maintain clean, organized spaces and follow HIPAA regulations and safety guidelines.

This position emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and strong communication as you support health and wellness initiatives and help customers with questions about products and services.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years old.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Meets minimum state requirements to perform the functions related to the position.

Responsibilities

• Comply with local, state and federal regulations; report all illegal activity, including robbery, theft or fraud.
• Maintain departmental standards including keeping clean and organized work stations and customer waiting areas.
• Understand and follow the company guidelines on the operation of the cash register and follow all cashier handling policies to prevent loss including tendering electronic fund transactions.
• Provide a stellar customer experience while accurately and efficiently completing all steps of reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing.
• Assist pharmacist in all responsibilities except those that require a pharmacist’s professional judgement.
• HIPAA compliance and health/wellness initiatives support.
• Put away legend orders, including Central Fill deliveries.
