ShopRite of Route 35 & 18th Ave in Belmar, NJ is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist the Pharmacist in dispensing medications and providing excellent customer service. The role requires 18+ as well as state licensing or certifications and proficiency with English and math.

The position involves lifting up to 50 lbs, standing during shifts, and maintaining accurate prescriptions while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and federal regulations. Competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must maintain proper state licensing or certifications.
• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English.
• Ability to perform mathematical functions, including decimals.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Ability to fill prescriptions with dexterity.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Accurately collect payment and provide correct change.
• Input patient information for processing a prescription.
• Assist Pharmacist in processing prescriptions.
• Organize and stock pharmaceuticals.
• Assist customers in locating over-the-counter items.
• Maintain security of the Pharmacy Department.
• Ensure compliance with drug laws and HIPAA.
