Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• State Pharmacy Technician License required.
• Certification or willingness to obtain certification within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide and ensure excellent customer service to all pharmacy customers.
• Input prescriptions for new fills and refill accurately per the prescriber's order.
• Fill prescriptions and deliver them to the pharmacist for review.
• Check electronic system for prescriptions and processing promptly.
• Insurance processing, collecting accurate information, deductibles, coinsurance and copayments.
• Patient billing, AR management, delivery and mail orders, and reminders.
• Maintain accurate patient records, demographics, insurance, and allergies.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the pharmacy management and practice management systems.
• Review medications within the patient profile prior to refilling.
• Assist with unpacking and distributing orders and updating inventory.
• Notify pharmacist of inventory issues or need to order.
• Communicate patient adherence concerns to appropriate staff.
• Ask patients if they would like counseling from the pharmacist.
• Log errors to promote quality and improvements.
• Advise providers when corrections are required prior to processing prescriptions.
• Answer phones and return calls to patients promptly.
• Assist in coordination and delivery of medications.
• POS management and daily deposit accuracy.
