Job summary

AbsoluteCare in Maryland is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists in filling prescriptions, ensuring accuracy, and delivering medications to patients. The role emphasizes customer service and adherence to regulations.

Responsibilities include inputting prescriptions, processing insurance, maintaining patient records, and supporting inventory and daily operations in a fast-paced pharmacy setting.

Qualifications

• Provide and ensure excellent customer service to all pharmacy customers.
• Follow all federal, state, DEA, pharmacy board regulations, safety guidelines, as well as policies and procedures of the pharmacy and AbsoluteCARE.
• Input prescriptions for new fills and refill accurately per the prescriber's order.
• Prescriptions may be electronic, faxed or hand delivered.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions and deliver them to the pharmacist for review.
• Insurance processing, collecting accurate information, deductibles, coinsurance and copayments.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, demographics, insurance, and allergies.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the pharmacy management system and practice management system.
