Job summary

AbsoluteCare is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists in filling prescriptions, ensuring security and accuracy of operations, and delivering medications to patients. The role requires a state pharmacy technician license and a CPht certification or willingness to obtain within 1 year.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (30-minute lunch). Compensation: $18–$21 per hour based on experience. This position operates in a professional pharmacy setting in Columbus, OH.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2-3 years' experience in a similar role.
• State Pharmacy Technician License required by state regulations.
• Registration in good standing with the state's board of pharmacy.
• National Certification (CPht) or willingness to obtain within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to pharmacy customers.
• Follow all federal, state, DEA, and board regulations and policies.
• Input prescriptions accurately per prescriber order (electronic, faxed, or hand-delivered).
• Fill prescriptions and deliver to the pharmacist for review.
• Check electronic system for prescriptions and process promptly.
• Handle insurance processing, deductibles, coinsurance, and copays.
• Manage patient billing, AR, deliveries, reminders, and mailing statements.
• Maintain up-to-date patient records and demographics.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the pharmacy management and practice management systems.
• Review medications for safety and interactions before refilling.
