Job summary
Upham’s Corner Health Center is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support safe, accurate dispensing under supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You will assist with prescription preparation, patient communication, inventory control, and workflow coordination to promote equitable health outcomes in our community.
The role requires a Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician license, high school education, and prior familiarity with Liberty or EPIC systems.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Active Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician License required.
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) preferred.
- Completion of an accredited pharmacy technician training program preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in processing, filling, and labeling prescriptions accurately.
- Input and maintain prescription and patient data in Liberty and EPIC systems.
- Communicate with patients, providers, and insurers to resolve medication-related issues.
- Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and expiration monitoring.
- Prepare medications for automation systems (Omnicell, Parata).
- Support adherence to 340B programs and FQHC guidelines.
