Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacy teams in delivering safe and accurate prescription fulfillment and exceptional patient service within our retail locations. You will assist with immunizations, inventory, and daily operations while adhering to all regulatory requirements.

Role requires completing training and meeting state licensure requirements; candidates must show empathy, attention to detail, and strong communication to ensure a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• Must comply with state board of pharmacy requirements, including age, education, and licensure/certification.
• If the state board does not address minimum age, candidate must be at least 16 years old.
• If the state board does not address minimum education, candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent or be enrolled in a program.
• State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs at each workstation to assist pharmacists in managing patient health.
• Follow pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
• Provide empathetic patient service at pick-up, drive-thru, and over the phone.
• Perform basic inventory activities and assist with cycle counts and returns-to-stocks.
• Contribute to a high-performing team and seek opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge.
• Be flexible with scheduling and travel to stores in the market as needed.
• Comply with federal, state, and local laws and CVS policies to ensure safety and privacy.
• Deliver additional health services when trained, such as immunizations and point-of-care testing.
