Job summary

Cosentino is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist customers with prescriptions and wellness needs, under the Pharmacist in Charge. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and friendly service in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment.

The candidate will verify prescriptions, process transactions, provide medication information, and coordinate with the Pharmacist for patient consultations while maintaining records and compliance with health regulations.

Qualifications

• Completion of ongoing training per Cosentino Learning Plan.
• Pharmacy technician certification is preferred and a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Retail Pharmacy Software and POS experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Know and implement the Cosentino Customer Service Standards.
• Courteously receive prescriptions from customers for filling and assist at pickup.
• Verify name and address and legibility of prescriber's name.
• Process cash register transactions for prescriptions.
• Provide instructions, side effects, and medication descriptions to customers.
• Arrange consultations with the Pharmacist when requested.
• Obtain signatures from customers for prescriptions.
• Answer calls and direct to Pharmacist as appropriate.
• Process third-party documents and fill prescription books.
• Maintain patient profiles and stock levels.
• Ensure cleanliness and safe operation of equipment.
