Job summary

RXinsider LTD. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in serving patients and maintaining the pharmacy department. The role includes processing prescriptions electronically, verifying information, and assisting with daily operations.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of pharmacy technician experience and be registered with the State of Illinois. Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM–6:00 PM, with duties spanning customer service, inventory, and insurance claim handling.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
Must be registered Pharmacy Technician with the State of Illinois.
Ability to process prescriptions electronically and verify information.

Responsibilities

Assist the pharmacist with serving patients and maintaining the pharmacy department.
Sterilize surfaces and equipment and prepare the pharmacy for opening.
Greet customers and answer questions.
Receive prescriptions and check their validity.
Process prescriptions electronically and ensure all information is complete and accurate.
Resolve issues with insurance claims.
Select medicines and measure dosages to fill prescriptions.
Sort, stock, label medication and monitor inventory.
Assist with administrative tasks and record-keeping as assigned.
Comply with security measures and quality standards and activities.
Stay current with HIPAA, HITECH, and FWA credentialing.
Package orders and coordinate medication delivery with patients.
Communicate with insurance carriers to obtain payment for prescriptions.
