Job summary

AbsoluteCARE Medical Center & Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists with filling prescriptions, ensure accuracy and security of operations, and deliver medications to patients. The role supports input of electronic, faxed, or hand-delivered prescriptions and requires maintaining patient records and coordinating billing and insurance processing.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
2-3 years’ experience in a similar role.
State Pharmacy Technician License, If required by state regulations
Registration in good standing with the board of pharmacy by state.
National Certification (CPht) or willingness to obtain certification within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service to all pharmacy customers.
Input prescriptions for new fills and refills accurately per the prescriber’s order.
Fill prescriptions and deliver them to the pharmacist for review.
Insurance processing, collecting accurate information, deductibles, coinsurance and copayments.
Maintain accurate patient records and MTM documentation.
