Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacy team across stores, ensuring safe and efficient prescription fulfillment and compassionate patient care. The role requires adherence to SOPs, accurate labeling, and strong communication with patients and pharmacists.

Typical duties include assisting with immunizations and point‑of‑care testing where allowed, maintaining inventory, and upholding regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Must comply with state board of pharmacy requirements, including age, education and licensure/certification.
• If no minimum age is mandated by the state board, candidate must be at least 16 years old.
• State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state.

Responsibilities

• Follow all company SOPs at each workstation to support pharmacists and patient health.
• Follow pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
• Assist patients with empathy and provide personalized service at pick-up, drive-thru, and over the phone.
• Perform basic inventory activities and stock management as directed by leadership.
• Contribute to a high-performing team and be receptive to feedback; expand clinical and technical knowledge.
• Be flexible for scheduling and willing to travel to different stores as needed.
• Comply with federal, state, and local laws, and CVS policies to ensure patient safety and privacy.
• Deliver additional health care services where permitted (immunizations, point-of-care testing, offsite clinics).
• When eligible, obtain Technician Immunizer status and educate patients about vaccines.
