Job summary

CVS Health is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to support the store pharmacy team by ensuring safe, accurate prescription fulfillment and compassionate patient service. You will follow SOPs, assist pharmacists, and help provide immunizations and related services where permitted.

The role requires adherence to state board requirements, licensure/certification, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Prior pharmacy tech experience (1–3 years) is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, including age and licensure/certification.
• State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state.
• 1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Regular and predictable attendance, including weekends.
• Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe.
• Attention and Focus: concentrate on a task, pivot between tasks, ensure label accuracy for patient safety.
• Customer Service and Team Orientation: help patients and interact with colleagues in a friendly manner.
• Communication Skills: clear verbal and written interaction with patients and staff.
• Mathematical Reasoning: compute dosage, days’ supply and bottle counts for prescriptions.
• Problem Resolution: identify and resolve patient or colleague issues.
• Physical Demands: endure long periods upright, lift and move items as required.
