Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacy operations in our retail stores. The role focuses on accurate prescription fulfillment, patient interaction, and adherence to SOPs to ensure safe, high-quality service.

Technicians complete required state and company training, may assist with immunizations and additional services where permitted, and travel to stores as needed to support market needs. A high school diploma or equivalent and appropriate licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, which includes but is not limited to, age, education, and licensure/certification.
• If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum age requirement, must be at least 16 years of age.
• If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum educational requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program.

Responsibilities

• Regular and predictable attendance, including weekends.
• Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe.
• Attention and Focus: concentration on a task, pivoting between tasks, ensuring prescription information accuracy.
• Customer Service and Team Orientation: assist patients with empathy and care, resolve issues.
• Communication Skills: clear verbal and written interaction with patients and colleagues.
• Mathematical Reasoning: calculate days supply, total tablets, and bottle counts.
• Problem Resolution: handle challenging patient or colleague interactions.
• Physical Demands: lifting, standing, reaching, and manual dexterity.
