Job summary

ChenMed, LLC in Fort Myers, FL is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the practice of pharmacy under the supervision of a Pharmacist. You will enter patient and drug data, process prescriptions, and assist in maintaining inventory while upholding high quality patient care.

The role requires strong attention to detail, good math and communication skills, and compliance with HIPAA and state regulations. Evening or weekend availability may be needed as part of staffing.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; license and/or registration as a Pharmacy Technician as required by state.
• 1 year of pharmacy experience preferred, including data entry.
• Knowledge of pharmacy laws and medical terminology is required.
• Ability to use pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information.

Responsibilities

• Assist with pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Provide greeting and assistance to patients and healthcare providers.
• Maintain inventory and verify stock levels and expiration dates.
• Support Pharmacist in ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized pharmacy environment.
• Assist with 3rd party claims processing and patient education as needed.
