Job summary

You will use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and assist and coach other technicians under the supervision of the Pharmacist.

Responsibilities include handling inventory, ensuring accuracy, engaging with patients to resolve questions, and processing third-party claims.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent; education may be substituted year-for-year by experience.
• Board of Pharmacy technician registration; maintain current licensure.
• Minimum one year of experience in a pharmacy setting, including data entry.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist healthcare providers by answering questions and referrals.
• Manage inventory by monitoring stock and placing orders.
• Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems accurately.
• Fill prescriptions, count and verify medications, check for interactions.
• Adhere to HIPAA, Medicare and co-pay requirements.
• Direct and assist team members to maintain workflow and deadlines.
• Process third-party claims accurately for reimbursement.
