Job summary

ChenMed LLC is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacy operations under pharmacist supervision. You will process prescriptions, assist with customer interactions, and help maintain accurate records while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

The role requires knowledge of pharmacy processes, HIPAA compliance, and strong communication with patients and clinical teams. Evening, weekend, or holiday availability may be required.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent; education can be substituted year-for-year by experience.
• Board of Pharmacy technician registration; maintain licensure and certification as required by state.
• Minimum one year of experience in a pharmacy setting including pharmacy/medical data entry.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist providers; answer questions and refer to Pharmacist when needed.
• Maintain inventory by checking stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt.
• Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems; ensure accuracy and check interactions.
• Process prescriptions; verify medicine and calculate appropriate dosages; report errors to Pharmacist.
• Comply with HIPAA, Medicare, and copay requirements; assist with third-party reimbursements.
